Photoshop paint texture5/31/2023 ![]() ![]() I want more control than just merely placing a texture file into Illustrator, that's not going to work for what I need to do. Now, I want to create a brush with this texture because my specific idea of how to use this texture in the context of a client project. These are in the exercise files for this course so you can actually not only use this specific brush but you can use this source texture set that I included with the exercise files so they're fun to play around with. And you can play a lot with like reducing the flow and this. I just created this using a brush and some leftover house paint and I painted it actually on light-colored cardboard and then scanned it in and created what you see here. I think this comes from either his dry media or his painting textures, but that ones really fun. If you are working in Lightroom, highlight both image files and click Photo > Edit In > Open as Layers in Photoshop. The texture that I'm going to take now and create a Photoshop brush with is a house paint texture. Open both your main image and the texture image in Photoshop. In this movie, I'm going to walk you through how to take a texture or any image for that matter and turn it into a Photoshop brush. One of the best ways to use textures in Photoshop is to turn them into a brush. ![]()
